First Steps Washtenaw/Parents As Teachers
"Helping children learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential."
Parents are children's first teachers, and are the most important part of their child's early growth and development.
A child's brain grows and develops faster in the first five years than at any other time in his/her life.
First Steps provides parent/child playgroups, developmental screenings, personal visits,
Parents as Teachers® Born to Learn Curriculum, and many other services.
First Steps gives you and your child the building blocks to be prepared for success in school and life.
Currently our Parent-Child Play & Learn groups
for families of children age Birth - Pre-Kindergarten
are on Summer Break.
In their place, some families have decided to meet at
10am on Thursdays at Carr Park
for an informal playdate.
All families are welcome.
Also check out the Manchester District Library activity calendar for additional fun, family events throughout the summer!
A FUNDRAISING Note:
Manchester First Steps'
"2nd Annual Pasta Dinner & Silent Auction"
held Saturday, April 20, 2013 4-7:30pm
was a HUGE success.
We raised just over $9,000 for next year's programming.
A BIG THANK YOU to all of the community who supported this fundraiser.
